Pharmix · In collaboration with Warehouse Zone

Pharmix WMS for pharmacy wholesalers and distributors

Control every batch from receipt to delivery. Offered in collaboration with Warehouse Zone, this pharmaceutical wholesale product connects purchasing, goods-in, independent QA holds, FEFO picking and dispatch. It is distinct from the pharmacy-chain product: the focus here is wholesale batch release, customer packing rules, repacking traceability and distribution control, supported by ColdSense360 temperature monitoring options for storage and transport.

How it works

Purchase, release, pick and dispatch

A practical sequence to explore with your warehouse, office and dispatch teams.

  1. 01

    Purchase

Receive packs, cases and pallets against purchasing records.

  2. 02

    QA release

Apply holds with independent release authority.

  3. 03

    FEFO pick

Verify GS1 scans and expiry-aware picking.

  4. 04

    Dispatch

Check packing, capacity and delivery evidence.

What the workflow covers

Operational detail, connected to the bigger picture

Batch, expiry and medicine identity

Keep medicine identities, batches and expiry dates connected to stock. Use FEFO, pre-expiry blocks and short-date sales reports alongside dm+d identity, MHRA recall tracing and controlled-drug registers.

  • Batch and expiry control with FEFO
  • Pre-expiry blocks and short-date reports
  • dm+d identity, recall tracing and CD registers

Independent QA holds and release

Separate operational stock handling from release authority. Batch, supplier and customer holds support review before stock progresses, with validation-support scripts, protocols and recorded sign-offs available for your own validation process.

  • Batch, supplier and customer holds
  • Independent release authority
  • IQ/OQ/PQ support, review and sign-offs

Flexible goods-in and replenishment

Handle packs, cases and pallets at receiving, including supplier CSV/ASN records and commodity codes. Connect bulk-to-pick replenishment tasks and purchasing alerts with the configured stock thresholds.

  • Pack, case and pallet receiving
  • Supplier CSV/ASN and commodity codes
  • Bulk-to-pick tasks and purchasing alerts

Controlled picking and customer packing

Use GS1 scans, pause/resume actions and recorded picking times. Approved customer instructions, pallet types and product or batch mixing checks guide how the order is packed for dispatch.

  • GS1 scanning and recorded picking times
  • Customer-specific packing instructions
  • Pallet types and product/batch mixing checks

Repacking with a recorded batch history

Retain artwork versions, material balance and independent batch release through repacking. User, time and reason history, permissions and scanner timeouts keep the work accountable.

  • Artwork version and material balance records
  • Independent repacked-batch release
  • User/time/reason audit and scanner access controls

Dispatch, temperature exceptions and returns

Coordinate routes, delivery windows and vehicle load-capacity checks. Retain temperature holds, escalation, returns and delivery evidence; ColdSense360 adds commissioned storage and in-transit monitoring options.

  • Routes, delivery windows and load-capacity checks
  • Temperature holds and exception escalation
  • Returns and delivery evidence

Live sensor feeds and alerts require provider/API setup, connectivity, calibration and commissioning. The agreed devices, sensor ranges, thresholds and escalation process are confirmed for your site. Monitoring supports your quality procedures; site validation and regulatory responsibilities remain with your organisation.

Read customer experiences
How is this different from the pharmacy-chain product?

The wholesale product centres on batches, independent QA release, FEFO picking, repacking and customer distribution. Pharmacy chains use the separate central-store and branch product for procurement, regional oversight, store replenishment and patient-use stock.

Can it monitor temperature during storage and delivery?

ColdSense360 offers Wi-Fi options for warehouses and stores and 4G options for vehicles and shipments. Live feeds and excursion alerts require provider/API setup, connectivity, calibration and commissioning.

Are transport routes based on live traffic?

The leaflet describes routes using configured travel times rather than live traffic. Delivery windows and load-capacity checks support dispatch planning.

Does using this software certify compliance?

The software supports your quality procedures, traceability and validation work. Site validation and regulatory responsibilities remain with your organisation.
